Media
Man director and founder, Mr Greg Tingle, entered
the media business in 2001, when he made the transition
across from Sales and Marketing for Australia's top
telecommunications companies.
Already
a keen writer, with exceptional presentation and investigative
skills, the media business was a natural progression.
Greg
started freelance journalism, professional writing
and TV presenting for Sydney's Channel 31, in January
2001.
Before
long, Sydney's radio stations were also keen to hear
what Greg had to say on subjects as diverse as freedom
of the press, community groups, the underworld, reality
television and the Australian telecommunications business,
amongst other things.
In
mid 2002 Greg established himself as a player in Australian
media, with a front-page news story to his name, Jump
on Board - "Southern Courier". In addition,
Greg's on-air discussion with "Golden Tonsils",
John Laws, regarding Telstra, Optus and Reality TV
was mentioned in the Media section of "The Australian",
on 3rd October 2002.
March
2003 saw Greg Tingle launch his latest venture, Media
Man, which commenced as an online broadcasting and
publishing portal for Australian and International
media, in addition to showcasing the accomplishments
of both himself and his contemporaries. As the website
developed, along with Greg's business, to call his
online home a portal is an understatement.
Mid
2003 saw Media Man receiving international acclaim
with positive mentions in the media section of The
Boston Phoenix and New Media Musings. At the same
time Greg achieved his News Media and Journalism Certificate
III at Petersham TAFE.
August
2003 saw Greg develop his public relations arm.
In
September of the same year, Media Man gained solid
government support, via a government grant.
Soon
after Greg was chosen to judge a new Reality TV program,
H'it'! and also hosted "Talking Television"
on Melbourne Talk 3AK. A few days later he was nominated
MC for the Maroubra Fun Run, of which he also did
the press releases and radio spots for.
2004
saw Greg develop the business to a stage where every
week the major Australian newspapers and radio stations
called in to literally ask, "What's news?",
and in many cases they secured interviews with Greg's
impressive client list.
By
mid 2004, the public relations and publicity arms
of the business reached another level, with affiliations
inked with International Movie Makers Market, Filmfestivals
Entertainment Group, and representation of one of
Australia's hottest new authors. In addition, the
new phase of the government grant was approved, and
a relocation to new offices was competed. At the same
time, Media Man once again received significant international
press, with an interview on Hong Kong's RTHK, drawing
attention to Media Mans clients and the reality TV
connection.
Towards
the conclusion of 2004, Media Man relocated to Airlie
Beach, Whitsundays, Queensland, where they worked
closely with everyone from the some of the regions
most successful property developers, actors, authors,
tourism operations and entrepreneurs.
Some
of the campaigns Media Man has worked on include Messages
On Hold, Virgin Casino, DGM, Foxtel, WWE, Mick Cutajar,
Richard Bradley Productions, Githabul people, Save
The Whales Again!, Climate Action and Live Earth (Pittwater),
Changing Colours Movement, Greenfest, Betezy, 888,
CAP, Play4Property.com, Aspinalls, Casino News Media,
in addition to strong media support of ABC, Network
Nine and Foxtel campaigns.
Media
Man has clients and associates around the globe.
The
company motto is, "Putting your name out there!",
and they continue to do it for themselves and they're
prestigious client list.
Only
time will tell, what is next for Greg Tingle and his
team, but rest assured that Media Man will remain
in the media spotlight.
